Pepsi is the love of my life.

Unfortunately, I had to break up with it.

I decided for lent to give up Pepsi. Why just Pepsi? Basically its the only soda I will drink. Coke just doesn't compare to Pepsi. Yeah, I said it. Pepsi trumps all. The worst part of the break up was having a caffeine headache for a week. That little booger just would not leave me alone. And I was s o  t i r e d. Once I got used to not having caffeine and the headaches subsided, I perked back up and learned to just drink water.

I didn't get to finish drinking all of my pepsi before lent began. Lent actually kind of snuck up on me this year, so I was surprised when it was Fat Tuesday and tried to drink as much as I could but just couldn't complete the task. I have three cans left. Just sitting in my fridge hanging out in there. Why? Well, I figured after lent I would want a Pepsi and I could just open my fridge and have it. So I just have them in there waiting patiently. Hiding behind my water bottles in hopes that it falls in to the whole "out of sight, out of mind" category.

I know soda is bad for you, but I just love having something with flavor when I eat. Water and eating just doesn't cut it for me. Its a daily struggle. I'm currently doing this fitness challenge, which makes me drink a lot of water. Each day I feel better in my skin. So I have decided to completely break up with Pepsi and dump the sodas in my fridge.

It was quite the ordeal. I cried - okay maybe not literally, but my heart def broke. I opened each soda can and poured it down the drain. I just watched myself waste the precious Pepsi. I could have given it to a friend, but most of my friends are not soda drinkers. I recycled the cans, had a moment of silence, then grabbed my unflavorful water and walked away.

I said goodbye to Pepsi for forever.
