About a month ago, I went to dump some recyclables in the larger bins and found this aweeeeesome two drawer night stand by the trash can.

Upon investigating the stand, I decided to take it. I know, I know, it's weird that I took it from the trash area, BUT it's a really good night stand/table.

I finally bought some paint to paint it and I was so excited about it. I unfortunately didn't inspect the unit as thoroughly as I had thought - when I took out the drawers, I found spider sacks in there. Yeaaaaaah... not too excited about that. I was really scared but I mustered up some courage to get rid of them. I think though that there were no spiders in them any longer, but I "killed" them and threw out my killings far away from my apartment.

My mom told me about this amazing paint that she found at Michael's {{ she's working on her own amazing projects }}. I'm so thankful that she told me about it because it's honestly the best. This company also makes a wax paint to put over the chalky finished paint, but I like how it is without the wax.

I was a little worried that the jar would be too small for what I wanted to paint, but it ended up being more than enough! I still have about 1/2 a jar left.

All my furniture in my apartment is black. I had wanted to paint this a different color, but I decided I should probably be an adult and paint it black to match all my furniture.

To make it a little different, I decided to add a teal color so it would pop. I am absolutely LOVING the way that it came out. The inside of the drawers are teal. The inside lining is also teal to add some more pop.

I'm still so stoked about how well this came out. It looks much better now than it did when it wasn't painted!
