Rachel Platten Vance Joy Andy Grammer Third Eye Blind Rob Thomas

I was invited to go to MIXFest this year with some friends. I knew most of the people in the line up so figured it would be fun to go to. Plus, the show was free, so, couldn't pass up that offer.

The day was gorgeous. The sun was shining, it was warm when the wind was blowing - but not unbearable. I ended up getting a little sunburn on my back. I had a perfect tan line before, now I have a tank top tan line {{ so much for getting away with not having a bad tan line this year }}.

Rachel Platten was decent. She sang a bit softly, so it was hard to hear all of her songs. I am, however, obsessed with her hit song, Fight Song.

Rachel Platten wanted to play a prank on Andy Grammer during his set. Apparently they play a lot of shows together and are constantly pranking each other. The prank she wanted us to pull was after his first song, we were all supposed to turn around and not clap or do anything else.

I saw Vance Joy when he opened up for Taylor Swift. I still don't know any of his songs really, but I really like him. I don't think he has a band, he just sings and plays the guitar. Which is pretty cool, in my opinion. He's also Australian - so he has a really cool accent.

Check out his hit song, Riptide.

I'm really obsessed with Andy Grammer's Honey, I'm Good. It's definitely one of my fav songs of the summer. Andy Grammer is also on Dancing With the Stars this season. I was hoping Allison would come out on stage, but she didn't. Anyways, he had a lot of energy and he covered Where Are U by Skrillex and Diplo featuring the Biebs. I enjoyed his set.

We played the prank on Andy Grammer that Rachel Platten had wanted us to play on him. He had no idea that we were going to do it and he thought it was awesome - after he realized it was a prank.

Third Eye Blind was pretty good. The lead singer let the crowd sing a lot of the lyrics. They also sang quite a few new songs from their newest album. I have to admit I wasn't really a huge Third Eye Blind fan before the show, but I knew one songfrom them. So I was pretty stoked I knew at least one song from their whole set.

My favorite act was Rob Thomas. I've always liked his voice, so I was pretty excited to see him. He sang some old hits, such as Lonely No More,Smooth {{ the Santana song }}, and This is How a Heart Breaks. I was waiting for some Matchbox Twenty songs, but he didn't sing any. He sang some other songs from his new album and probably songs from his other albums, but I didn't know all of them.
