Highland Bakery

655 Highland Avenue NE | Atlanta, Georgia | Menu

While in Atlanta, I went to brunch because what is life without brunch - right?

After looking at different restaurants, we decided to try Highland Bakery. It was a popular place - it was busy the whole time we were there. There were a lot of delicious-looking items on the menu. The one thing I kept on looking at was the peanut butter french toast. It sounded really good, so I decided to order it. My friends both ordered the cilantro corn pancakes.

The french toast was bigger than I had expected it to be. It kind of looked like two big slices of pie. It also came with caramelized bananas on top. The syrup lightly filled the bottom of the plate. It was everything I needed and more. The peanut butter and french toast combo is a dream for anyone who loves peanut butter. The peanut butter is stuffed in the middle, so once you hit it, it's a nice surprise. I could not finish my plate because of the massive portions, but it is well worth ordering.

My friends liked their pancakes - the only issue they had was with the way their pancakes came out versus how they ordered them. They asked for the sour cream on the side and had also asked for avocado slices to be added to the top. When our food was brought to the table, the server had said the avocado would be out in a few moments. However, the avocado never came out for them.

Overall, Highland Bakery is very delicious with a lively atmosphere.
